Students of Black studies have entered such fields as education, business, law, healthcare, nonprofits, public history, the arts and journalism.

- 20 total credit hours
- One to two courses in each of these designated criteria areas: Global Perspectives, Social Science and the Law, Black Arts and Cultures
Students can choose from over a dozen possibilities in fields including art, literature, communication, history, philosophy, psychology and sociology. Courses not listed may also be counted towards the minor, with permission from the program administrators.
