    The Minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies is an interdisciplinary course of study that incorporates a broad range of liberal arts activities – reading, writing, thinking and discussion – in order to teach a fuller understanding of the embodied lives of people. The curriculum balances academic rigor with emphasis on social justice and community.

    • History of women and LGBTQIA+ people and movements
    • Social construction of gender, sex and sexuality
    • Intersectionality
    • Analytical frameworks including feminist, queer and disability theories
    • Transnational feminisms

    Minoring in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies does not dictate a career but instead emphasizes a valuable skill set: critical reading, analytical thinking, investigative reflection and leadership in matters of diversity.
