This type of experiential learning is key to making well-rounded graduates ready for the workforce. Not only do our students learn new skills, but they refine their career paths with real-world experiences.
Our students regularly engage in the following types of internship opportunities.
Allied Health and Public Health:
- Hospitals – Students intern and shadow in area hospitals, gathering valuable experiences in their fields of study.
- Shriners Hospital for Children – Students observe both physical and occupational therapy at this Tampa pediatric, orthopedic hospital.
- Local Nonprofits – Students gain exposure to working in local nonprofit agencies such as the American Lung Association and the American Diabetes Association.
- Wellness Programs on Campus – Students collaborate and lead one of the UT campus wellness programs.
